Projects and Planning

A Separate Project and Planning Department is functioning under the direct control of Board Member and Director General. This Department was fully instrumental in the construction of an additional Production line of 7000 tons clinker per day from the project concept to commissioning stage. This major project constituted all production sections of a seperate cement plant,in addition to a latest technology 90MW Diesel power plant and a 5000 tons per day desalination plant. This department has started the implementation of an additional project for the reduction of production cost in the existing 20 year old production line. This project constitutes installation of a fuel firing system which replaces the existing crude oil firing circuit by a cheaper fuel -Heavey fuel oil. Right from design stage this project is handled by in-house expertise,but with latest technology available in this field. Care jas also been taken that the project technology matches with the present operating philosophy such that implementation of the project yields results as soon as the project is commissioned. Additional project under implementation is the augmentation of power production by the installation of one more generator in the existing power plant. The completion of this project will help in producing the required power for the cement plant entirely with the available cheaper fuel in this part of the country. Keeping with the Company's policy of maintaining highest environmental standards, presently this department is under active consideration of installation of latest state of art technology based Electrostatic Precipitators in the existing 20 year old lines.
