The Technical Department at YCC is currently headed by the Board Member and Director General under whose control, a team of Highly experienced Engineers operate.

The Engineers in the technical department keep a thorough overview and control on all technical activities in the plant including those handled by the O & M Contractor. A critical review of requirements of all general stores and spare part items is done on a regular basis to contain inventory. Adequate measures are taken to reduce operational cost on a continuous basis.

All operating efficiency parameters are reviewed by the technical department on a daily basis to ensure that the highest efficiency parameters are achieved. The Technical department formulates the production plan to ensure manufacture of adequate quantities of various types of cement match the market requirements as assessed by the sales department. All efforts are made to ensure that the production targets are fully met. Technical Department also ensures on a regular basis that the manufactured cement meets the highest quality standards at al times.

The Technical Department checks that the maintenance and repairs to all production units is carried out as per the recommendations of the plant equipment,manufacturers to ensure that the plant is kept young and efficient at all times.The technical department also keeps abreast of the latest developments in cement technology and implements it wherever possible for improving maintenance standards to the highest levels and economizing operations.

A number of steps are being taken for further improving Saudisation.All support services and some production sections are directly operated by Saudi Technicians. We have a large workforce of Saudi Engineers and technicians.
